Mahavir Metals India Manufactured a nickel-based alloy that resists aqueous corrosion well. SS 303 Square Bars are resistant to reducing and oxidising acids, stress corrosion cracking, and localised corrosion attacks such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Heat exchangers, evaporators, scrubbers, and dip pipes produced from Grade 303 Square Bars are frequently used in the phosphoric acid manufacturing process. Because of the titanium content, Type 303 Square Bars are resistant to intergranular assault after being exposed to temperatures that would sensitise unstabilized stainless steels. In stainless steel 303 square bars, sulfuric, sulphurous, phosphoric, and nitric acids are all corrosion resistant.
For welding, AISI 303 Square Bars, shielded metal arc processes with alloy welding electrode 135, gas-shielded arc processes with alloy filler metal 65 and resistance welding processes are all viable possibilities. UNS S30300 Stainless Steel Square Bars are not affected by sulfuric or phosphoric acids. The austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy 303 Stainless Square Bars contain molybdenum, copper, and titanium.
